Zotero Plugin
Connect your Zotero library to the InCite cloud service, or host InCite locally — the plugin handles installation, indexing, and server management so you never need to touch a terminal.

Two ways to use it
The plugin manages connecting your Zotero library to InCite. Choose local mode (free, open-source, data stays on your machine) or cloud mode (no Python required, access from any device).

Download the .xpi file
Click the download button above to get
zotero-incite.xpi -

Open the add-on installer
In Zotero, go to Tools → Add-ons, click the gear icon, then Install Add-on From File…

Select the .xpi file
Browse to the downloaded
zotero-incite.xpiand click Open -

Restart Zotero
Restart Zotero when prompted. The InCite Control Center will appear in the plugin settings.
Setup
Local mode
Requires Python 3 and pip installed on your machine. The plugin handles everything else.

Zotero → Settings → inCite

Open the Control Center
The plugin detects Python, installs InCite into a virtual environment, indexes your Zotero library, and starts the local server — all from the Control Center UI.
Cloud mode
No Python required. Sign in and upload your library to inciteref.com.

Set mode to Cloud in plugin settings
Zotero → Settings → inCite

Sign in from the Control Center
Click "Sign In" to connect your InCite account. Create an account first if you don't have one.

Upload or sync your library
Use "Upload Library" to push papers and PDFs from Zotero, or "Sync via Zotero" to pull from the Zotero cloud API.
