Save references from the web and get citation recommendations in the browser.

Requires Chrome or any Chromium-based browser

What it does

• • Save references — add papers to your InCite library from any webpage
• • Side panel — get citation recommendations in a side panel without leaving your browser tab
• • Cloud-connected — searches your personal InCite library, no local setup needed
• • Evidence paragraphs — shows the most relevant passage from each recommended paper

Install

1. 1

   Download the zip file

   Click the download button above to get incite-chrome.zip

   Unzip to a folder

   Extract the zip anywhere you like. Keep the folder around — Chrome needs it.

   Open Chrome extensions

   Go to chrome://extensions in your browser

   Enable Developer mode

   Toggle the "Developer mode" switch in the top-right corner

   Load the extension

   Click "Load unpacked" and select the unzipped folder

Setup

   Open extension options

   Click the InCite icon in your toolbar, then the gear icon — or right-click the icon and choose "Options"

   Enter your user key

   Log in and generate a token on your account page

3. 3

   Test the connection

   Click "Test Connection" to verify everything works
